Product story
Details worth knowing
HUAWEI FreeClip open-ear earbuds
HUAWEI FreeClip uses a C-bridge design that rests around the ear rather than sealing the ear canal. Each earbud weighs about 5.6 g. The open-ear fit lets you hear surrounding sounds, but it does not provide the isolation of in-ear earbuds; Huawei’s official specification page does not list active noise cancellation.
Playback, calls and device switching
Huawei lists up to 8 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 36 hours with the charging case. The lab test used AAC at 50% volume and default settings; actual playtime varies. FreeClip supports simultaneous connection to two devices. Double-tap to play/pause or handle a call and triple-tap to play the next track. AI-assisted voice pickup is designed to reduce background noise during calls, though results depend on surroundings.
Charging and water resistance
The earbuds charge in the case; the case supports USB-C wired charging and wireless charging up to about 2 W. Huawei rates the earbuds IP54, but the case is not waterproof. Let the earbuds dry before charging and note that resistance can decline with wear.

Can FreeClip connect to two devices?
Huawei says it can connect simultaneously to two devices, including supported iOS, Android and Windows devices.
