MSI PRO MP243L E14 23.8-inch 144Hz Full HD IPS Monitor

Overview

The MSI PRO MP243L E14 is a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync. It is designed for office productivity and general use while also supporting compatible smoother-motion applications. The exact-model MSI global datasheet identifies HDMI 2.0 and VGA, with Full HD at up to 144Hz through HDMI. The model includes MSI EyesErgo features, a tilt stand and 100 × 100mm VESA mounting. This listing covers PRO MP243L E14 specifically; other MSI models with similar MP243 names have different port configurations and should not be used to infer its specifications.

Screen size and resolution

The display measures 23.8 inches diagonally and uses an IPS panel. Native resolution is 1920 × 1080 Full HD in a 16:9 format, with an active area of 527.04 × 296.46mm and pixel pitch of 0.2745mm. Set the source device to 1920 × 1080 for a pixel-matched image. Full HD is widely supported for office applications, browsing, presentations, video and everyday desktop work. The 178° horizontal and vertical viewing-angle specification describes broad off-axis visibility. The panel is flat and uses an anti-glare surface.

Refresh rate and response time

MSI lists 144Hz maximum refresh. Its exact-model datasheet specifies HDMI 2.0 at 1920 × 1080 up to 144Hz and VGA up to 60Hz. Use HDMI 2.0 and a compatible source to reach the listed top refresh rate; legacy VGA is limited to a lower mode. MSI gives two response figures: 1ms MPRT and 4ms GtG. MPRT and gray-to-gray are different test methods, so the numbers should not be treated as equivalent or as guaranteed behavior for every picture mode. Adaptive-Sync has an activated range of 48–144Hz. Compatibility depends on the graphics source and settings.

Brightness, contrast and color source differences

MSI lists a typical contrast ratio of 1500:1 and dynamic contrast of 100,000,000:1. The official MSI global datasheet lists 250 cd/m² brightness, and the ENERGY STAR entry also lists 250 cd/m². MSI’s US store/spec page reports 300 cd/m². Because official sources differ, the precise regional unit specification should be verified; this catalog page preserves the conflict rather than presenting one value as universal. MSI lists 16.7 million colors and 8-bit color using 6-bit plus FRC. Gamut data differs across MSI pages and percentage area is not the same as coverage, so this page does not claim a single color-space coverage rate.

Ports, video and audio

The exact-model MSI global datasheet lists one HDMI 2.0 port and one VGA input. The HDMI input supports Full HD up to 144Hz. VGA is listed up to 60Hz. The display also has DC-in for its external adapter. No built-in speakers or headphone output are listed in the exact-model global PDF. There is no DisplayPort or USB-C listed for MP243L E14. If a computer only has USB-C or DisplayPort, a compatible adapter may be needed; check that the adapter supports Full HD at the selected refresh rate. Audio should be provided by the connected computer or separate audio equipment.

EyesErgo and HDR Ready

MSI describes EyesErgo functions including Anti-Flicker, Less Blue Light, anti-glare and Eye-Q Check. Eye-Q Check can provide visual reminders for viewing comfort and rest, but it does not diagnose or prevent a medical condition. The screen is also described as HDR Ready; this term does not mean it has a high peak-HDR luminance or a certified HDR picture mode. Choose a comfortable brightness and ambient-light level for the room. The monitor’s OSD offers display settings and input selection; refer to the manual for control navigation.

Stand and mounting

The bundled stand supports tilt from −5° to +20°. MSI does not list height adjustment, swivel or pivot for this configuration. A 100 × 100mm VESA pattern supports a compatible monitor arm or wall mount. Check the bracket’s load rating and screw requirements before attaching it. Dimensions with the stand are 541.93 × 181.15 × 397.46mm (21.34 × 7.13 × 15.65in); without the stand they are 541.93 × 43.71 × 322.25mm (21.34 × 1.72 × 12.69in). Carton size is 607 × 84 × 475mm. Net weight is 2.94kg and gross package weight is 4.75kg. Leave space behind the screen for the stand and cables.

Power and box contents

MSI specifies an external 12V/2.5A power adapter and AC input of 100–240V at 50/60Hz. The global datasheet package includes an HDMI cable, power adapter and quick guide. Regional packaging may vary, so confirm accessories with the Bangladesh seller. Use an adapter with the correct voltage, current and polarity; the plug should not be selected by appearance alone. The monitor includes a Kensington lock slot and MSI Power Link / HDMI CEC support for compatible systems.

Warranty and regional details

Bangladesh sellers list a three-year warranty for PRO MP243L E14. Confirm which local distributor or service center handles claims, what serial numbers qualify, whether the invoice is required and whether packaging must be retained. MSI’s US warranty does not establish Bangladesh terms. MSI also states product specifications can vary by market. For that reason, compare the label on the supplied carton with the model name and local warranty card.

Who may choose this model

This display may suit a user looking for a compact 23.8-inch Full HD IPS monitor with a high refresh mode, HDMI and VGA, Adaptive-Sync, tilt adjustment and VESA mounting. It may be less suitable if the setup needs USB-C docking, DisplayPort, integrated audio, a height-adjustable stand or an unambiguous brightness specification across regions. For 144Hz, use the HDMI connection; for the exact brightness and warranty, check the regional package before purchase.
