For optimal food preservation and safety, it is recommended to keep your freezer set at approximately -18°C (0°F). On most models, this corresponds to a thermostat setting of 3–4 under normal usage. If the freezer is heavily loaded or being used frequently, you may increase the setting to 4–5 to maintain the desired temperature. This helps preserve food quality and freshness while minimizing the growth of bacteria.

Clean the interior regularly, avoid overloading, ensure proper ventilation around the unit, check the door seal periodically, and defrost manual-defrost models when excessive ice builds up.
